Hello and welcome to my website!

My name is Lilly, I’m 22 years old and go to a Ceramic art school in Sweden.Currently I’m living on my own in a lovely little cottage. However back home, I have a lovely family with two supporting parents, and an older brother living in Australia. We also have four dogs that give the best cuddles you could imagine.

I was born in Denmark, where the rest of the family resides, but when I was about 3 years old, we packed our little family into some moving boxes and moved to Sweden. We moved into a big yellow brick house and stayed there up till now.

The beginning

Since kindergarten I have loved art, I was always covered in paint from the moment our class was allowed to do any art project. Creating a way, making finger paintings of mooses and chickens, I loved being a little child covered in colors. Then when I started first grade and all the way up to 9th grade, I drew and created on paper. With a pencil in hand, I was the kid to doodle on every assignment we got from our teachers, to some of their dismay. However, I have also always created in 3D. When we were able to play with “Trolldeg” or to glue and tape things together, it was something that gave an extra spark of joy.

Highschool

For my gymnasium (highschool) I chose the art and creation program, at a lovely school named Nicolai, in Helsingborg. Here I met my true love, Clay, for the very first time. There I got to enjoy and explore ceramics for real for the very first time, and this felt like something I absolutely had to continue with. That school showed me many things that have truly changed my life for the better, and I can’t be more thankful for the teachers that supported me there.

Work, work and school again

After I graduated I still wanted a break from the school life that I had been a part of for my entire life, up til’ that point. So onto finding a job! I worked for about 8 months at the golden arches, then found a cute farm cafe, where I worked during the summer. After this I took a full break from life and stayed home for a year. So with all this time, I researched what to do next. And that’s how I discovered “Folkhögskolor”. I applied for a few different ones, but at the top of my list was Löftadalen. And low and behold I got in! I was over static with excitement, and not soon after I moved to the schools: live in rooms.

Now I’m here again for my second year and I absolutely love it! Feel so happy and lucky to be here another year, to learn, create and become better at what I love to do. Can’t wait to see what life has in store, crossing my fingers it’s good!
