These are my three ojects I had in our wood fired kiln. Its a very fun project that takes a whole day, just to fire the things! All in all it will take tree full days from placing your objects into the kiln to then taking them out again.
During our full day of fireing We also tried to achieve something called reduction. That is when you reach a certain temperature inside the kiln, you want to limit the amount of oxygen coming into the kiln. If done correctly some glazes can shift into other colors because of the lack of oxygen during the firing.  It wasn’t fully successful, so we didn’t get any cool reds. But nonetheless it was a very fun time.
